Realme P3x 5G

Realme P3x 5G: ntroduced in February 2025 was the Realme P3x 5G as the company’s determination to offer powerful smartphone at a friendly budget continues.

Priced in the sub-₹15,000 category, the device is focusing on the right mix of performance, sturdiness and battery life without hitting your wallet too hard.

But is it going to be enough to make it stand out in an increasingly crowded marketplace? But now lets dig deeper into what makes this phone tick.

Design and Build

Design and display The Realme P3x 5G is impressive already with its thoughtful design. With three eye-catching colors1 – Lunar Silver with a unique hatching design, and Midnight Blue and Stellar Pink – the tablet satisfies a range of aesthetic needs.

What really separates the P3x from its peers is its extraordinary durability credentials. This phone has both IP68 and IP69 ratings, so you get dust and water immersion protection that’s virtually unheard of at this price point.

Realme says the phone can withstand being submerged in water up to 2 meters in depth for as long as 30 minutes without a problem, so you won’t have to worry about everyday accidents.

The phone’s body is very thin at 7.94mm despite with the hulking battery, though at 197g it’s pretty heavy.

The curved ergonomic edges and finishes (with the leather versions especially) make the phone easy to hold in the hand over long periods of use.

Display and Performance

The P3x 5G comes with a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD screen at 2400 x 1080 resolution. It’s not an AMOLED panel, but it makes up for it with a super smooth 120Hz refresh rate that’s great for scrolling and gaming.

The screen does get bright too with 950 nits peak, which should keep it usable in most any light though direct sunlight is bound to be a challenge.

At its heart, the upcoming Vivo smartphone is the 6nm TSMC-made MediaTek Dimensity 6400 5G chipset, coupled with 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.

That setup provides competent daily performance and good power management, but it’s not about to break any performance records against more expensive machines.

Performance in gaming is good for basic titles as the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU runs most of the popular working titles at medium settings.

Realme’s “four years of lag-free experience” claim hints at how confident it is that this chipset will last, even if we can’t say for sure yet.

Camera Capabilities

Photography is also probably where these budget limitations show themselves most strongly in the P3x 5G’s specification. The main camera’s 50MP sensor is decent in good lighting, but fails to perform in low light conditions.

A second rear camera (probably a depth or macro sensor according to Whathifi among others) rounds off the rear configuration, with an 8MP selfie shooter on the front.

The camera can record 1080p video, but without OIS, the footage is a lot shakier than on flagship devices.

For everyday snaps and sharing on social media the camera system is perfectly adequate, if not something that’s wow even photo enthusiasts.

Battery Life and Charging

Surely, the P3x 5G is definitely one of the longest-lasting devices out there. The huge 6,000mAh battery will easily give you a full day of heavy usage or even last you two days with moderate use.

Realme is promising that the battery will still have over 80% capacity retention after four years of use and constant charging – we’ll see if that holds true.

When it comes time to refuel, power is supplied not surprisingly via fast charging –we’re talking 45W here, so performance is good, albeit not quite as swift as 67W or more which some rivals provide.

Software Experience

Software and usefulness The P3x 5G is powered by Realme UI 6.0 on top of Android 15, which allows for a feature-heavy if slightly cluttered experience.

Pre-installed apps are still a problem – something mentioned by a number of reviews – but they do nothing to take away from the clean OS which comes with the Mi 4i.

Pros:

Unrivaled Durability: IP69/IP68 water and dust resistance to handle whatever the day throws at you

Joey for Days: 6,000mAh capacity means you can be on the go for days without searching for a wall outlet to recharge

Smooth Display: The 120Hz refresh rate delivers smooth scrolling and the gaming experience.

5G for Less: Super fast, affordable 5G connectivity for your home or business

High-Quality Finish Options: Available in vegan leather for a premium look and feel

Good Performance: The Dimensity 6400 gets things done, surprisingly smoothly

Cons:

Average Camera Setup: Average Snapper does not have OIS and Poor in Low-lighting Conditions

LCD — not AMOLED: Screen tech is behind some rivals

Bloatware Problems: Software experience is bogged down by pre-installed apps

poor low light photography: Cameras are not good in dark or low light.

Average Gaming Performance: Might not be able to run the most demanding games at playable frame rates

Heavier Than Competitors: It’s on the heavier side of portability, weighing in at 197g

Realme P3x 5G: Verdict

What sets the Realme P3x 5G apart though is its focus on ruggedness, battery longevity and screen fluidity for as little outlay as possible.

Ranging from ₹12,999 to ₹14,999 (depending on configuration), it’s great value for those who care more about those features than great camera or high-end display technology.

It’s especially good for users who are tough on their devices, want multi-day battery life or who seek 5G connectivity without breaking the bank.

But photography fans or people who want similar gaming prowess might prefer to look elsewhere – or consider upgrading to the superior Realme P3 or P3 Pro range.

In a competitive sub-₹15,000 category, the P3x 5G makes a clear space by not trying to achieve greatness in every single aspect and makes engaging compromises; after all, a solid product is the outcome of someone who knows exactly what they want to be.
