Redmi Note 14 Pro: Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro – A Milestone in the Brand’s Attempt to Dominate the Mid-Range Smartphone Space.
Introducing BUZZ 12 Pro, launched early 2025, which continues the tradition of having near-flagship features at an unexpectedly affordable price, redefining the perception of what consumers should expect from a mid-tier smartphone.
Design and Build
The Redmi Note 14 Pro is present in a new design language with a flat aluminum frame and there is Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both the front and back.
Cosmic Black, Glacier Blue, Sunset Orange are the color options and the device strikes a fine balance of strength and beauty.
The matte finish further resists fingerprints and adds an amazing grip. The handset, with IP68 certification, is pretty much immune to dirt and water, an area that had been missing in the Redmi Note series.
Display Excellence
Up front, it possesses a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution (2712 x 1220 pixels).
The panel is capable of a variable 1-120Hz refresh rate refresh rate and is HDR10+ certified too, so also means nice colours and deep blacks.
It can go up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness for easy visibility outdoors. Better touch sampling rates as implemented by Xiaomi for gaming situations (ergo, zero input lag during those competitive sessions).
Performance
MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra chipset that is built on the 4nm process is said to come under the hood. Coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, the device performs daily tasks with ease.
Xiaomi’s LiquidCool Technology 2.0 ensures that the phone can deliver peak performance even after prolonged gaming or 4K video recording.
Camera Capabilities
Photography fans will love the triple camera system, which is topped with a 108MP primary sensor with OIS. There’s also an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 5MP macro shooter as well.
The camera system is great in the day time, taking pictures that are sharp for good pixel-level details and produce natural colours.
Night mode gains a lot of ground here compared to prior generations, but still lags behind flagship devices. Selfies are good in terms of sharpness and skin tones thanks to the 32MP front camera.
Battery and Charging
A 5,000mAh battery keeps the phone going all day long of high usage.
The (included) fast 67W charge will take the battery from 0 to 100% in around 47 minutes. Unfortunately, there’s still no wireless charging, but the fast wired charging makes up for it for the most part.
Software Experience
The software is MIUI 15 on top of Android 15 and it feels polished, with clever productivity features that don’t get in your way.
Xiaomi is pledging three years of software updates and four years of security updates, which helps to address some of the software longevity issues we’ve had with the mid-range tier.

Redmi Note 14 Pro: Verdict
Redmi Note 14 Pro is yet another masterpiece in re-inventing the mid-segment for Xiaomi.
The device doesn’t bring anything new to the table, but by giving users basic flagship features such as a good quality display, a solid camera setup, and good performance at a competitive price point, the Huawei Y9 2019 is a stellar value little machine that focuses on just that; practicality over name recognition.
And while not without its compromises, the considered balance of features, power and price means the Redmi Note 14 Pro is a strong contender for those on a budget that don’t want to skimp on the key smartphone experiences.
It’s a testament to just how close mid-range and high-end have become in today’s smartphone world.
